Frequently Asked Questions

what types of materials do you use?

Whether is is our mesh, steel, galvanised pipe, tie wire or masonry anchors, whatever we are using or installing we only use the highest quality materials. This is an area we just won’t scrimp on as it ensures our cages are long lasting and safe.

How long will the cage take to complete?

Generally we need a 4 week lead time due to existing bookings and to order materials, however it could be anywhere between 2-4 weeks until start date.

For install, smaller jobs take 1-2 days, larger could be around a week.

Can you reuse existing materials?

We are very happy to reuse & recycle materials, just depending on their condition.

our quote and approval process

To get a quote, simply fill in the quote request form with dimensions and photos of the space and we will respond with any questions or to arrange a site visit if we need to.

Once you have received your quote – to accept, we require an email approval with a purchase order or payment of a small deposit.

A final site visit is then scheduled where we carry out a check measure before fabrication of your cage begins.

Are you qualified?

Our team consists of qualified fabricators/welders and experienced tradespersons with 15+ years of experience in the construction industry.

We have been working with 3pl, logistics and warehousing for years, so we know what you need and when you need it.

can you supply the cage only (i will install)?

No, we don’t supply only. Our cages are custom fabricated to suit each space and the installation process requires experience (for example, chain mesh cages are fitted off with the chain mesh after the frame is installed), the correct tools and anchors to ensure it is secure and safe for you and your staff to use.

Do you remove existing cages?

We are happy to quote to remove only. Depending on the materials, cages can even be dismantled, palletised and taken to your new premises to be reinstalled or reused.

Once the cage is removed, we can also carry out repairs to “make good” the area.

Can i get decorative mesh instead of standard chain or weld mesh?

Yes, you can! Send us a picture of what you are after and if we can source it in the size you are after we can quote to install it.

WHY ARE YOU MORE EXPENSIVE THAN THE OTHER QUOTE I RECEIVED?

It all comes down to quality.

We only  use high quality materials so that our cages are safe, secure and can withstand the tough knocks they get (ie, forklifts, cars, a lot of use).

Higher quality materials come with a higher price but in the long run, it’s worth it. And we are proud to say, we have NEVER had a call back for our jobs because we also use highly trained, highly qualified staff.

DO YOU DO internal fit outS of the cage?

Call us a one-stop-shop, because fitting out a cage with the extra details is what we do best.

Need workbenches? MHE? Line-marking? Bollards?  Hangers? Shelving?

You name it, we have done it (Or we know someone who can help anyway, ie, electricians)

storage cage installation process?

To get a storage cage installed. All you need to do is measure your space and take some photos of the area. Then fill in our quote form. From there we will be in contact and provide you with a quote. Once you are happy to proceed with your installation we will come out to site, do a check measure and once we have agreed on a date, we then install your new storage cage.

what is the difference between Weld Mesh & Chain Mesh?

Weld Mesh is a sturdy panel in which each join is spot welded together. These come in pre-fab panels which can be cut to size. It is welded or screwed to the frame of the cage.

Weld mesh is ideal for environments where there are forklifts or other MHE equipment in use.

It is long lasting and harder wearing.

Chain Mesh comes in rolls and can be seamlessly joined for a clean finish. It is tied off to the cage using high quality wire and with larger cages, a stabilising wire is also threaded through the middle to stop buckling.

Chain mesh is ideal for larger cages or covering bigger areas and is a cost effective solution.

how do security cages differ from regular storage cages?

Security cages differ from regular storage cages in several ways. First and foremost, security cages are designed with the specific purpose of keeping valuable items safe and secure. They are constructed with heavier-duty materials than regular storage cages, such as welded steel, wire mesh, and expanded metal, which provides added strength and durability.

Security cages are also designed with a range of additional features such as lockable doors, padlock hasps, and other types of security hardware that make them harder to break into. Additionally, security cages are typically designed with a higher level of customisation, enabling them to be tailored to the unique needs of the user. Overall, security cages provide a higher level of security and protection than regular storage cages, making them a better choice for applications where security is a top priority.

DO YOU INSTALL AUTOMATED GATES OR RAPID RISE DOORS?

Rapid rise doors and automated gates are becoming a popular in the world of logistics – especially when dealing with dangerous goods.

Contact us to find out what would work best and what we can offer you.

do you fit off security gates to racking?

Yes, and no.

Yes – we build and install security gates for racking!

However we won’t fit them off TO the actual racking. Why? If we did then this would compromise the load rating.

So, we build a standalone frame that is installed in front of the racking, and hang the gates from there. Safe AND secure.
